Filtration Units
The Aquagen filtration series are high performance filters designed for residential, commercial and industrial applications. The high performance vessel material with FRP reinforced outer shell provides strength to withstand high pressures without any structural damage. The vessels are immune to most chemicals ensuring corrosion free and cost-efficient solutions for water treatment.
The automatic head is a lead free brass construction with solid state microprocessors with easy access front panel settings. It has a front panel display for time of day, days until next regeneration, volume remaining, current flow rate and total volume used.
Design features:
1. Vessel
2. Automatic Head
3. Cartridge filters
Cartridge filters are the basic most simple filtration component. Designed mostly for domestic use or where the flow rate is low. Cartridge filters come in different sizes and types. Sediment cartridge filters can be ordered to provide filtration capacity as low as 5 microns. GIG also has cartridge filters that are 0.2 microns which is approved for use by the authorities for water coolers and clinics.
Carbon cartridge filters are also readily available and are used in domestic filtration equipment.
DISINFECTION AND STERILIZATION
1. UV Sterilization
UV Sterilization is a disinfection method which uses UV rays at 254 nm to kill or inactivate microorganisms. The UV Sterilization units are used in drinking water, fish tanks/ ponds, waste water, ultra-pure water etc. The UV is safe and will
not induce any chemical or change the quality of the water.
Design Features:
• The chamber is made of polished SS316 only
• Amalgam doping, high intensity UV lamps produced in Germany • The unit produces high intensity UV-C rays compared to other products in the market. The system is designed to produce high concentration of UV rays that ensures high kill rate of the bacteria.
• Pressure tested up to 6 bars
• Easy Installation
2. Copper Silver Ionization
Water Guard’s copper silver ionization is the most effective technology for controlling Legionella in water systems. In
field evaluations, copper silver ionization has yielded the most successful results and is backed by more than 100 independent research studies.
Copper silver introduces disinfectant ions that travel throughout the plumbing infrastructure and attack Legionella living downstream, embedded in biofilm within the plumbing distribution system, providing systemic disinfection. Copper silver ionization is essential for controlling pre-existing Legionella contamination.
This technology provides a controlled release of copper and silver ions into the water supply to kill harmful waterborne pathogens*. Aside from being an effective method for combating Legionella, copper silver ionization is also the most environmentally friendly solution with no harmful disinfection by-products.
A. Controller
Computerized controller with power up to 10 amps, 100 volts. It has more power to be able to adjust to changing water make ups. There is more control with instantaneous ionization levels which also means that there system adjusts to the water demand with not too much or not too little ionization. This leads to longer life span of the electrode adding up to longer warranties.
B. Ionization Chamber
The chamber is better customized to match the exact water demand that is required. More patented electrodes are fitted to match the selected life cycles. There is also faster chamber removal for cleaning, with quick clamp releases.
C. Flow Meter
The ionization systems are capable of “closed-loop proportional control” which automatically produces
precise levels of copper and silver ions proportional to flow rates (water consumption) measured by a flow meter. The system maintains a constant level of required copper silver ions and prevents over- or under-ionization during high and low water consumption periods. A flow meter is installed on the cold water make-up to the instantaneous heaters to measure total flow. In point-of-entry applications, the flow meter is installed at the cold water point-of- entry to the facility.
3. Chemical Dosing Systems
Chemical dosing systems are applicable in industrial set ups like boilers, chillers etc. and domestic set ups like swimming pools.
Dosing systems include a dosing pump, a manual dosing system, an electrode, a controller and the tanks to store the required chemicals. Together with the dosing pumps and instruments we offer a wide range of probes and electrodes suitable to measure the water treatment typical parameters.
